Sketch of the Huntington Theater from the Historical Society!

Historic Sketch of the Huntington HUNTINGTON THEATER -- Originally constructed in the early 1900s as a theatre for live entertainment, the popularity of motion pictures resulted in this buildings’ rebirth as a cinema palace in 1940. The renovated structure features an art deco facade with peach and burgundy glazed tile, and rounded geometric decorative elements on either side of a central, multi-planed panel. Oval shop windows, typical of the “streamlined” era display merchandise on both sides of the recessed theater entrance.
